Our Adventures / Trip Descriptions
* Women's Retreat
Remember YOU? Celebrate the life you have or craft the life you have imagined. This women's retreat is full of adventure and nourishment in the majestic White Mountains of New Hampshire. Reconnect with yourself and your capabilities, strengths, and personal growth goals. Take time away from your obligations to work, family, relationships, school -- whatever is taking your attention away from "you," and support yourself in reconnecting to your goals, whether personally, professionally and/or within relationships. Hikes are challenging and require a backpack.
* Survivors Retreat
This trip is sponsored by HOPE Works (formerly the Women's Rape Crisis Center) and the Laura K. Winterbottom Memorial Foundation, and is very low cost for participants. This trip is Saturday-Sunday and requires a pre-group meeting on the Tuesday prior to the trip in Burlington, VT. This retreat takes place on Mt. Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont. We will camp at Underhill State Park. This trip is designed to provide female survivors of sexual violence the opportunity to explore solo and group activities as pathways towards recovery. Activities include opportunities to practice powerfulness, set boundaries, and develop nourishing resources.
* Self-Care for Service Providers
Are you a service provider? Come and retreat with other service providers to nourish yourself and learn, bond, and play with other people who can truly relate. What is compassion fatigue, and how can we stay healthy? Take time for you, renew your passion for your work, and establish and celebrate your self-care routine.
* Staff Retreats
Team building and more for your staff. Dedicated helping professionals need to be supported by a healthy work environment and by taking the time to reflect and renew. This retreat offers team building and compassion building activities as well as activities that support and replenish your team's passion for your work. Staff retreats are created in partnership with your oganization or group. We will meet with you to create the level of challenge and specific activities that are right for your staff.
"Abbi and Sharon worked with us every step of the way in planning the weekend wilderness retreat. They listened to our needs as a staff and tailored every detail to make the experience positive for all of the participants. The bonds created and lessons learned have stayed with us as a staff ever since then! I would most definitely work with 'Ready Adventures' again!" ~Executive Director, HOPE Works (Formerly the Women's Rape Crisis Center), Burlington, VT.
