An Invitation to Collaborate
We are currently looking to create new partnerships with agencies, organizations, and groups to expand the services currently being offered to women and to offer a resource for staff retreats.
Dear Prospective Partner,
Ready Adventures, LLC is owned and operated by Sharon Davis, MSW and Abbi Jaffe, BSW. We believe there is a gap in programs for women in Vermont who are in transition, who are seeking a new beginning and who are trying to answer the questions “what is next and how do I get there?” We offer half-day to 2 day adventures that gives participants the tools they need to be outside in nature and to see nature as a resource for their health. Outdoor education is a potent place to develop leadership skills and ‘emotional strength and well-being’ as evidenced in many studies. These studies are referenced in ‘Therapeutic Uses of Outdoor Education’ in ERIC Digest (http://www.ericdigests.org/2001-3/outdoor.htm).
Ready Adventures creates intentional retreats, focusing on empowerment, and we have seen positive results. One participant shared with us that “something shifted for me during the retreat and I found a piece of myself that died long ago...thank you for providing me with the opportunity to further my healing and find the courage inside of me to continue on that journey!" We are currently looking to create new partnerships with local agencies to expand the services currently being offered to women and to offer a resource for staff retreats.
Ready Adventures first partnered with HOPE (formerly known as the Women’s Rape Crisis Center), and the Laura K. Winterbottom Fund to create a weekend retreat for survivors of sexual assault. This retreat took place at Underhill State Park and included camping and cooking together, hiking on Mt. Mansfield, journaling, interactive activities, group discussions, yoga and a fire ceremony. The following year we collaborated with Cathleen Wilson, Executive Director of HOPE, to create a self care for service provider’s retreat for her staff. Since then we have led one additional weekend retreat for survivors.
We are interested in the opportunity to collaborate with you and perhaps develop a retreat for the women you serve and/or your staff.

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
